You make “APPLESAUCE”
There are a lot of fancy recipes online for making applesauce but its a simple straight process.
So let’s get started.

Ingredients
- 3 Medium Apples
- 3/4 cup Water
- 1 tbsp Fresh Lemon Juice
- 1 Cinnamon Stick

Instructions
- Peel the apples and cut them in cubes.
- In a heavy-bottom pan add apples, lemon juice, water and cinnamon stick and bring it to a boil.
- Reduce heat, cover and let it simmer for 20- 25 minutes.
- Uncover and check to see if almost all the liquid has evaporated.
- For a chunkier version use a fork to mash the apples to a coarse texture.
- For a velvety applesauce use a blender to blend into a find paste.
- Put in bowl or mason jar and store in refrigerator.
Recipe Notes
- You can use any variety of apples. I had gala on hand so I used those.
- Lemon Juice helps to keep the apples from turning brown and retain their freshness
- For a more sweeter applesauce you can add 1/3 cup of brown sugar. It will give sweetness as well a darker tone to the applesauce. You can use regular sugar, maple sugar or any kind of sweetener of choice.
- Make sure to let the apples cool down before processing them in a blender/food processor.
