Ordinary Grace is an outstanding, heartwarming saga of a boy who is trying to understand why the world around him is falling apart. It is an amazing coming-of-age story set in New Bremen, Minnesota in the 1960s.<\/p>\n
The book is set at\u00a0a time when innocence prevailed and everything was simple. People were trust-worthy and everyone knew each other.The story is told 40 years later from Frank’s perspective who at that time was 13. He is the son of a Methodist Minister and\u00a0has two other siblings, an older sister Ariel and a younger brother Jake. \u00a0\u00a0He\u00a0tries to recall the gloomy summer which begins with the\u00a0death of a young boy near the railroads which was just the beginning of a lot of tragedies.It’s a\u00a0summer that will change his life forever, a summer of deaths and grief, a summer of hope and miracles.<\/p>\n
The book is a mix of\u00a0love, relationships and heart breaks. It is one of those books you do not want to end and once it does end you will want to read it again. A must read its is an unforgettable account of “the terrible price of wisdom”.
